Under the Authority of Jesus

The chief priests and elders of the people may challenge the authority of Jesus, but that does not mean they are not subject his authority, just as we all are. Everyone has a personal relationship with Christ, and everyone is under his supreme authority. The only question is whether a person is in right relationship to Jesus and his authority, by grace, through faith alone, or in rebellion by acting our of some form of works-based religion.
