The Old Covenant was ineffective, in that it could save no one, because no one could meet its demands. Therefore, God instituted the New Covenant, that saves all His people completely. The New Covenant, with Jesus Christ as Mediator, is better because the promises are kept by God, and require nothing of us to accomplish its purpose.
