The Killing of a King

One of the main points to emerge from the retelling of the events of Jesus' trial and crucifixion is that in rejecting Jesus the Messiah we rejected God as being king over us. Amazingly this rejection (our No to God) is at one and the same time his Yes to us, embracing hateful humanity in his Son's cross, thereby establishing his reign and rule over his saved people.
