The Presence of Christ

Luke tells us that even though the disciples had seen the empty tomb, and heard the testimonies of Peter and the women that Christ had risen and appeared to them, they still had trouble believing it had happened. It was only when Christ appeared physically in their midst and did something as simple as eating that they began to grasp that he really had risen bodily from the dead.

But of what importance is the bodily resurrection of Christ to us?
