Our Exalted Stronghold

The abiding truth that the Lord is our refuge, and our fortress, and that He functions not only to protect His special people, but uses those called and protected to further the boundaries His kingdom, the walls of His fortress to cover over all the earth. This is a Psalm of strength, confidence, hope and future glory, all concepts anticipated and longed for even in a state where we feel helpless and hopeless in times of trial and suffering.
