Clouded Judgment

As David returns from exile to Jerusalem, his heart is tested by encounters with individuals, including Ziba and Mephibosheth. Previously, David had violated a principle in the book of Proverbs by deciding between them based on hearing only one side of the story. Now that David hears Mephibosheth's side of the story, it is likely that Ziba is the guilty one. But instead of rectifying the situation, David shows clouded judgment.
