Coming to Christ

You cannot be a Christian unless you come to Christ. For some, that experience is more distinct, for others less obvious, but for all who come it is the evidence that the Father has given you to Christ.

Here the Lord makes clear that a sinner may come to him, and must come to him: the Bread of Life has been given from heaven. There is life in him, but nowhere else. The sinner who comes to him as he is offered in the gospel will never be cast out, but rather welcomed and entirely saved.
