An Atheist Contempt

Jehoiakim king of Judah was given a scroll from Jeremiah and it was read in his presence but because he was evil he treated it with contempt and cut up the scroll and burnt it in the fire. God graciously gave this opportunity for the king and the people that they may turn from their evil and repent of their sin.
