The Rooster Crows

The entire Bible points to the events we are reading about here. The eternal plan of God to save the broken from sin is found in the suffering, death and resurrection of Christ. God was saving sinners from the beginning, as the Bible teaches that all those who became children of God before this time were retroactively saved by the sufferings of Christ. . The sufferings of Christ expose our sin. Further, His suffering covers all our sins, "For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need." (Heb. 4:15-16). Let this be a testimony of our own sin as the rooster crows to announce them to the world.
