A Paradigm for Repentance

In the account of the kings of Israel and Judah in the books of Samuel and Kings, Manasseh is shown to be the worst of the kings. Because of his sins God sent Judah into exile. No repentance is mentioned there. But in the account of the Chronicler, Manasseh repented and provided for the returned exiles a model for repentance. We must not think that we are not as bad as Manasseh. As sinners, we are capable of the same horrible rebellion against God and we must learn repentance as Manasseh did.
