Why We Can Trust God - Eschatology 135 - Angels are Watching the Church

Here we continue our study of what His plane is for this creation and the one to follow. When the Lord Jesus has brought every person that has ever lived under the authority given to Him, He will then turn the kingdom back to the Father. All things will be brought into submission to Him, and therefore to the Father as well. Then since the old creation has been dealt with perfectly in accordance with the will of the Father, it will be the "time", to leave time, and to enter into eternity future, with the creation of the new heavens and the new earth. In the new heavens and the new earth there is a huge city called the heavenly Jerusalem which is the dwelling place of the bride of Christ. It is the place our Lord has prepared for His own bride and will reflect His glory. As we look to Him to fulfill His promise we are eagerly awaiting His imminent return. The great beauty of the city itself is nothing in comparison to the fact that God Himself will dwell among His people. From within this huge city reaching way up into space, the Father and the Lamb Himself will light the earth, and there will be no need for the sun or the moon. Here we look at what we know of the angel with the measuring rod and the place of angels in the plan of God, with a special look at the passages in God's Word that reveal angels are watching the Church of Jesus Christ to learn their Creator as His plan unfolds.
