Why Does There Seem to Be No Real Love in the Church?

Hebrews 10:32-35

1. Sometimes we forget what it means to be a Christian. (The problem) v32a , Revelation 3:2-3
2. Understanding who you are in Christ realigns your view of the world and your place in it. (The Correction)
   a. Your union with Christ is not one of earthly ease.v32
   b. Your union with Christ which you at odds with the world.v33a
   c. Your union with Christ binds you to others who are also in union with Christ.v33b
   • we personally identify with those who are also mistreated for Christ's sake. v34
   • this identity puts us at risk of the same mistreatment. v34b, 2 Corinthians 5:1-5

d. Your union with Christ takes your focus off of this material world. v34b
3. Do not abandon the means of grace that God has given you to live in this fallen world. (The Follow-Through) v35
