Resurrection Day

Sermon Point: After an ignominious death, Christ rose again to show He is indeed the very Son of God; come to agreement with Him, seek forgiveness from Him, worship and serve Him.

Outline:

1. God fulfilled the prophecy of Psalm 2 in the opposition Christ met from earthly rulers (Psalm 2:1-3, Acts 4:23-28).
2. God’s reaction to opposition is derisive laughter; no one, including you and me, can oppose His hand (Psalm 2:4-6).
3. God’s purpose for His Anointed, His Christ, is firm; we cannot stand against it or Him (Psalm 7-9, Hebrews 5:5-6).
4. God fulfills His purpose in the resurrection of Christ thus declaring Him to be His only begotten Son (Acts 13:30-37).
5. Agree with this risen King; worship Him (Psalm 2:10-12).
6. Seek the freedom of the forgiveness of your sins from the risen and reigning Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 13:38-39).
