Affliction is the lot of the saints. All of God's people are called to serve Christ amidst trials and temptations, so that their faith might be exercised and strengthened by the difficulties of life, in the fear of God.

However, many Christians are unaware of what it means to trust God completely, or how to maintain a faithful witness in times of trouble.

This second lecture on affliction considers the “heroes of faith” to learn exactly what it means to be accounted as the faithful of God in the darkness of trials and temptations.
