This Jesus God has Raised Up

Resurrection Sunday 2010 - This Jesus God has Raised Up. On the Day of Pentecost Peter stood and preached the gospel to the crowds in Jerusalem. He preached from Joel 2 about the Day of the Lord. He preached about the determined purpose of God in sending His Son to die for the sins of His people. He preached about the declarations of David about the true and living Christ. And as he preached about "this Jesus" that God had raised from the dead, we see a demonstation of gospel power as 3000 were cut to the heart and gladly believed on Jesus, calling out to Him for salvation and obeying Him by submitting to baptism. After this message we see then the daily life of the church as God was working in their midst daily, saving the lost, and sanctifying His bride. At the center of this powerful message we see the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus. This is the good news. This is the gospel. This is the power of God. This Jesus God has raised up.
