WSC Question 92: What is a sacrament?
Answer: A sacrament is an holy ordinance instituted by Christ, wherein, by sensible signs, Christ, and the benefits of the new covenant, are represented, sealed, and applied to believers.
To properly understand the Sacraments, you must have a biblical view of the church as the body of Christ, the kingdom of God, and the covenant people of God having both visible and invisible aspects.
