Seeing God on His Throne Precedes John's View of Future Things

This chapter is a continuation of the scene presented in the 4th chapter. John was brought to the height of anticipation at the prospect of receiving the unfolding of things kept secret from the foundation of the world and suddenly it seems that before it even begins it is ended. Why? Because there was no one found worthy to take the Book of Revelation from the hands of the Heavenly Father, to open the seals on it, and to look upon its precious pages. But then appeared a Lamb as it had been slain!

Also at this place there is an opportunity to explain something concerning the four beasts and the twenty-four elders that might be helpful.
