Nehemiah's Commission to Rebuild Jerusalem

First, in v 1a - Nehemiah had to exercise patience while waiting for King Artaxerxes to send him to Jerusalem.

Second, in v 1b-3 - Nehemiah was willing to risk his personal safety and well-being in order to rebuild Jerusalem.

Third, in vv 4-6 - Rebuilding Jerusalem was the result of Nehemiah's diligence and constancy in prayer.

Fourth, in vv 7-8 - Artaxerxes gave Nehemiah all that he requested to rebuild Jerusalem because God's blessing and favor was upon him.
