Charles Spurgeon, the great Baptist preacher of nineteenth-century London, is remembered today as “the prince of preachers.” However, the strength of Spurgeon's ministry went far beyond simple rhetorical skill. He is the author of seventeen books, his most recent being Pillars of Grace, as well as The Unwavering Resolve of Jonathan Edwards and The Expository Genius of John Calvin, both in the Long Line of Godly Men Profiles series from Reformation Trust Publishing, for which he serves as series editor. He has contributed numerous articles to journals and periodicals, and he is a frequent speaker at conferences. He and his wife, Anne, live in Mobile, Alabama.
