Amos 4:12

Go back to the cows being led out (Amos 4:2-3)

Repent, turn… seek God and live (Amos 5)

"He that is often reproved and hardens his neck will be ruined without remedy." (Proverbs 29:1)

He Declares His Thoughts To Us

Literally

"For behold, He who forms mountains, and creates the wind, who declares His to man what His thought is, and makes the morning darkness, who treads the high places of the earth — the Lord God of hosts is His name." (Amos 4:13)

He Declares His Thoughts To Us

Figuratively with coming judgment

"For behold, He who forms mountains (Kingdoms), and creates the wind (spirit), who declares His the meditation of His heart (Sennacherib) to man what His thought is, and makes the morning (the dust of judgment) darkness, who treads the high places (untouchable places) of the earth — the Lord God of hosts is His name." (Amos 4:13)

Prepare to meet your God.

Micah and Amos are contemporaries. Micah spotlights a thought that should grip our heart and cause us to examine every aspect of our lives in the light of Jesus and His redeeming grace. "Arise and depart, for this is not your rest... because it is defiled, it shall destroy [you], yes, with utter destruction." (Micah 2:10) We must remember this thought... what is not of God, is not of grace. And what's not of God and His grace is defiled. And, therefore, that which is not of God and His redeeming grace destroys. That which is defiled, destroys. Sin misses the mark, and all that misses God's mark is defiled. Lies, deception and falsehood corrupt, pollute, defile and destroy. When God told Israel, "prepare to meet your God," it was a call to
