Psalm 15 THE Question

11

Psalm 15

As we sing these Psalms we are challenged to faith and godliness

I. An important question (Psalm 15.1)

A. The question. The most important personal question.

B.The significance. David is asking as a believer already saved by grace through faith. (Psalm 32.1-2; Psalm 23)

II. An important description (15.2-5a)

A. That within the righteous. (15.2b; Matthew 15.18-20; 12.34-35).

B. The walk of the righteous. (15.2a; Psalm 1.1-2).

C. The work of the righteous.

The justified by faith love righteousness and their lives are transformed accordingly (Romans (6.1-4; Psalm 15.3-5; Romans 3.9-10; Hebrews 7.25-26; Ephesians 5.25-27).

III. An important reassurance (15.5b)

A. Holiness will not be in vain. (1 Corinthians 4.10; Acts 26.24-25).

B. Holiness is the mark of those who are eternally secure (Romans 8.28-30).

Conclusion

Are the sacrifices made worth it?

(1 Peter 1.3-5).
