The Wrath Of God

We all have problems because we live in a world that is broken by the fall. Both believers and unbelievers face various trials. However, all unbelievers have a great problem they live under. They abide under the wrath of God. The gospel is not just about God's love. The main reason for the gospel is God's wrath.

1. God's wrath is a proper response
   God's wrath is fair, reasonable and righteous because of man's sin.

• the sinner is guilty of willful ignorance
• the sinner is guilty of willful idolatry (1:23)
• the sinner is guilty of willful iniquity (1:18, 30)

2. God's wrath is a present revelation (1:18)
   How does he reveal his wrath? One of the ways God's wrath is presently revealed is in the reality of divine abandonment.

3. God's wrath is a pressing reality
