In Exodus 10, God sends locust as a judgement on the land of Egypt. They devour all the herbs and fruit. Israel was unharmed. In Revelation the fifth trumpet is sounded. Locust are released again. The attack is limited to unbelievers and for a specific amount of time, 5 months. God is sovereign over all. He has sent the locust as a warning to unbelievers to repent and turn to Him.
