Stephen described the Pharisees who stoned him to death in these words: "Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost."
The description of Stephen when he appears for the first time in Acts 6 is "a man full of...the Holy Ghost." What a contrast between him and the Pharisees!
In contrasting those who reisted the Holy Spirit and he who was full of the Holy Sprit, we find key indicators to a man's spiritual state.
