Amazing Grace

The National Center for Health Statistics recently reported that 40% of all births in America are to unwed mothers. Not 4%. Not 14%. But 40%. This rate, they said, is up by 1/4 from just 5 years ago. There are reportedly about 15 million new cases of sexually transmitted diseases each year in America, and the murder and suicide rates each typically exceed 30,000 per year. How does a Christian live a sanctified Christian life in an ungodly culture? This message begins a series that should help us to answer that question, because when Paul wrote to the Christians in Corinth, he was writing to those in a culture very similar to ours. With several illustrations of God's amazing grace, calling his sheep out of this world system: including a girl in Turkey, a Japanese woman, and the preacher himself, this message should encourage the heart of each believer. We are reminded here that sometimes God calls us through Russian literature, and sometimes through cell phones!
