CBS News reported yesterday that Smithsonian’s Dinosaur Hall Closed For $48M Jurassic Overhaul. The century-old dinosaur hall will close and nearly 8 million visitors a year won’t get to see the museum’s most popular attraction.

“There [is] really no cosmetic fix for this hall. What we’re seeing here is Band-Aid after Band-Aid after Band-Aid,” said Kirk Johnson, museum director.

Walls are being repaired and a new floor will be installed along with other structural issues.

Well I hope more than just walls and ceilings are repaired, I hope they repair the damage done by faking some of the fossils. That's right faking them.

Two scientists supplied top museums in the world (including the Smithsonian) with "fossils" of so-called Walking Whales. The problem is that both of those scientists have admitted that they altered the fossils by attaching whale parts (flukes, blowholes, and fins).

Yet, the exhibits are still on display and the Walking Whales are still be touted as the best fossil evidence for evolution.

On the program today I will speak with Dr. Carl Werner - Science Researcher and executive producer for the television series Evolution: The Grand Experiment.

Dr. Werner interviewed both of the two scientists who provided the altered fossils and was able to record both of them on film, admitting that they had done so.
