Many, But Still One

Paul often describes the relationship of Christ and his church in terms of the human body. We see, firstly, the nature of the unity. Man does not bring about this unity. It is possessed already and man is to strive to keep it. Christ is the head and the bond of the union. We also see the diversity of the unity in that each part has a different function. Many parts but all working for the good of the whole body.
