Abundant Blessings Amidst Afflictions

This next section concerns the details of Jacob's final 6 years working for Laban. Jacob worked 14 years for his two wives Leah and Rachel. Now he will work a further 6 years to build up his own livestock in order to be able to provide for his family independent of Laban. We get further insight into the character of Laban and Jacob through this account. Ultimately however, it is the goodness and grace of God which is on display, working on Jacob's behalf to reverse Laban's dishonest and unjust machinations in relation to his wages.
