Reconciliation: The Astonishing Remedy That Restores All Things

The titanic woes emerging daily in the United States are symptoms of minds alienated from God and consequently godliness. The radical progressive cancel culture experience now taking place in our country (and other territories) is a symptom. The apostle Paul's whole mind and being brimmed with the astonishing reality of "the reconciliation" (Romans 5:11). Our minds should incline to this same brimming with the same astonishing reconciliation accomplished by God. Key to this reality is first of all--what sort of estrangement does this reconciliation presuppose? Second, what makes "the blood of the cross" necessary? Third, are human beings really enemies of God by nature? If so how and when do people become enemies of God? As you are probably aware our society in general ignores the fact of God's wrath, the basis of God's wrath, and even the obvious manifestations of it already being revealed in society--which are only small dew drops of the coming storm. This busines of "an angry God is a piece of ancient tribal superstition", says many modern religious people. On the other hand, the apostles and prophets say, 'flee from the wrath to come." The apostles and prophets say, "God's wrath and God's condemnation of the world are very real things--they are very consequential and deserve your attention." The reconciliation takes in all these realities and fixes everything.
