What God Has Joined Together...

This passage gives us the back-story of a certain bold, learned preacher from Alexandria, named Apollos. He showed up on the scene in Ephesus when Paul was elsewhere at the time. For those who will notice - in the Application section of this sermon, Point #5 was inadvertantly left out. It was 'Discernment & Love'. Aquila and Priscilla were able to doctrinally discern where Apollos needed more teaching, but they approached him in meekness and in love. Discernment and Love are graces which God has joined together, but man very often puts asunder.
