Remember your Creator in the days of your youth:

  1. our future in this world
  2. the value of our lives

Questions to think about during the sermon:
Introduction:

  1. Why does Ecclesiastes 12 speak to young people about old age? What is the message?
    Point 1:
  2. What does it mean that the clouds return after the rain?
  3. What does it mean – in verse 4 that the doors of the street are closed and all the songs (of the birds) grow
    faint?
  4. Why is it important for young people to prepare themselves for getting old? How should we do that?
    Point 2:
  5. How – according to Ecclesiastes 12 – can we be sure that our lives are not meaningless? How does the
Preacher teach us that what we do with our lives is important?
  6. What do we learn about the importance of our lives from the images – in verse 6 – of the pitcher shattered
at the spring and the wheel broken at the well?
