34 ( 30 | 4 )
Remember your Creator in the days of your youth:
- our future in this world
- the value of our lives
Questions to think about during the sermon:
Introduction:
- Why does Ecclesiastes 12 speak to young people about old age? What is the message?
Point 1: - What does it mean that the clouds return after the rain?
- What does it mean – in verse 4 that the doors of the street are closed and all the songs (of the birds) grow
faint? - Why is it important for young people to prepare themselves for getting old? How should we do that?
Point 2: - How – according to Ecclesiastes 12 – can we be sure that our lives are not meaningless? How does the
Preacher teach us that what we do with our lives is important? - What do we learn about the importance of our lives from the images – in verse 6 – of the pitcher shattered
at the spring and the wheel broken at the well?
