Humble yourself, for He careth for you

The effects of Satan's sifting of Peter was that he might "strengthen his brethren." In these verses Peter would humbly instruct the believer on how to face those often trying situations when we find it difficult to submit under fierce hardships and trials, especially those which appear to have absolutely no benefit to us.
