Leaving No Room for Doubts…

Declaring Plainly

"Those who say such things declare plainly that they (too) seek a homeland…" (Hebrews 11:14)

Characteristically, the kingdom of the converted know who they are... and who they belong to, and where they are headed. But there are times when they get distracted, and misplace their priorities and lose sight of sweet joys of being part of God's kingdom. And when they do, because sometimes it happens, God graciously, and lovingly, and tenderly, and, at times, as needed, harshly, reminds them, again and again, who they are, and who they belong to, and where they are headed.

"...but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were STRANGERS and PILGRIMS on the earth. For those who say such things DECLARE plainly that they seek a homeland. And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return. But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them." (Hebrews 11:13-16)

Strangers... who are walking WITH a Strange God, through a Strange world, living with a Strange Hope, serving a Strange Word, by a Strange Means, to a Strange People who know NOTHING of their Strange Life. (1 Peter 1:3)

Remember pilgrim... You're just passing through! Be a good steward with what you have...but keep in mind...what you have will perish and it's not going where you're headed. Take care of it but don't let the care of it keep you from living the life of a man or woman that's just passing through...
