Let Us Be Diligent

While the glory of the gospel is that the sinner is made a child of God due to sovereign grace, through faith alone in the finished work of Christ alone, the Christian life itself is not a passive path. Christians are called to work out that which God has worked in us by grace alone. In the letter to the Hebrews, this means we are to be diligent to enter the rest Christ has purchased on our behalf, and to avoid the disobedience of falling back into a merit-based religion.
