As life is in the Father, He has granted that life is in His Son Jesus as well. This means that as God the Father is the giver of life, so too Jesus is the source of life. This is what Martha and Mary discovered as Jesus raised their brother Lazarus from death to life. Jesus is the source and the grantor of life for the believer, both now and eternally.
