Addressing Damning Faith

In our 27th message on Peter the Apostle, Peter addresses the unbelief of Simon the sorcerer. The whole idea of examining oneself whether you be in the faith is a concept that is shocking on our present religious landscape. Easy believism may be nice and appealing for a season to the flesh, but would soon lose its appeal when a person is cast into hell forever. The elements of a hatred of sin and repentance from sin are absolutely essential for true salvation as Peter confronts Simon's unbelief. True preachers of the Word, out love for God and love for souls, preach the principles of Holy Writ, for the benefit of others and the glory of God is a rare find, and not esteemed highly in our world, but is what our world needs today.
