God's Hand in National Disasters

The book of Joel is divided into two sections the 'Day of the Locust' and the 'Day of the Lord.' The day of the Lord is a period of time on God's prophetic calendar which will take place after the rapture. After God's children are caught up into the air. It will be a time of great judgment on the earth. The day of the Lord will be a time when God will judge the Gentile nations for their treatment of His special people, the Jews. It will begin at the rapture; it will conclude when the Lord Jesus Christ returns again. So we are going to come to see the day of the Lord as a future day but it also had a present day application for Joel in the day in which he was writing.
