Fear is Poison

Many times in the Scriptures we read where God said to his servants, "Be Not Afraid". In our text, the Holy Spirit-inspired apostle wrote "God has not given us the spirit of fear". This kind of fear keeps us from confidence, paralyzes us from action and infuses us with cowardice. This fear threatened Timothy and the advancement of the Gospel.
