Being Put in Our Place
Series Harmony of the Gospels
29
A careful reading of the Bible assuredly yields the conclusion that God is high and exalted and man is low and, without God's grace, worthy only of judgment. Even those who have been Christians for many years, thoguh, can forget their place and assert a power and authority that is not theirs. Even when this arrogance doesn't show itself in words, it can be demonstrated in actions, attitudes, and values. So we're desperately in need of "Being put in our place." Let's notice three place setters which ought to remind us our place in God's Kingdom:
(1) God's Kingdom is not shown by Human Initiative.
(2) God's Kingdom is not Known by Human Investigation.
(3) God's Kingdom is not Grown by Human Ingenuity.
