YOUTH (Luke 15:17-19)

1. The Prodigal’s riotous living (verses 12-13)
   (1) He had been well provided for (v.12).
   (2) He had squandered everything (Compare 19.12; 16:19-23).
2. The Prodigal’s realization (verses 14-17)
   (1) Changed circumstances often produce reflection (v.14-15)
   (2) Reflection leads on to realization(v.17).
   (3) Realization is the beginning of restoration (Johnn10.14-18).
3. The Prodigal’s return (verses 18-24)
   (1) The indispensability of repentance (v.18-19).
   (2) The certainty of reception (v. 20-21).
   (3) The appropriateness of rejoicing (v. 22-24).
