War Against the Soul

Abstain from fleshly lusts that war against the soul. When war is being waged against someone the intention is to bring them into subjection, and usually to take all they have for spoils. Fleshly lusts will put the soul in chains, rob the soul of everything of value - dignity, honor, joy, peace, hope. If fleshly lusts war against our soul, then we should make war against fleshly lusts.
