Study of the Greek Word Sozo (1)
190
The faith for which the Christian is to contend is founded on the truth of salvation. Biblical salvation is wrought by the Triune God of heaven and earth and is common to all the saints of God. This is not some insignificant or trivial 'salvation' that is only for a select group of saints. Though each child of grace is unique and comes to Christ in his own way, he does not have a separate salvation from other children of God. Salvation is not regeneration. Regeneration is only a part of salvation. Salvation, in all its parts, is of the Lord. The two main words that teach us about salvation are sozo and sotaria. This message begins looking at the word sozo.
