Our Soul's Anchor

God has given us something of great value in our hope. According to the writer of Hebrews, it is an anchor for our souls. It is something true and strong that we can rely upon. God has given it for He knows that we need it. He would not have provided it, and commanded its use if we did not need it. There is often much ridicule and disdain poured out on those who live upon hope, but those that attack us for our hope misunderstand the power and the nature of hope. At the same time they show that their own lives are void of hope and without the balancing, sustaining power of genuine hope.
