- God saved a people for His possession by His choice.
a. Blessing is not the same as salvation. v.6b-7a
b. Salvation is a separate choice of God. v.7b-8
c. God's choice to save someone is promised before that person is born.v.9
d. God's promise to save someone is founded upon God and not the person.v.10
i. God does not choose on the basis of goodness or badness. v.11a
ii. God chooses based upon his purposes and plan.v.11b
iii. Salvation is not a choice we make but what God has already done.v.11c
iv. Salvation is not bounded by the natural order.v.12 - Though it may seem harsh to us, God has chosen to love Psalm and hate others. (The Follow-Through) v.13
