Resolving Conflict By Cultivating Repentance Part 2
Series Epistle of James
133 ( 60 | 73 )
The biblical concept of repentance means to turn from sin to God. It means to be going in one direction, and, in Old Testament terms, having "sorrow" and "turning." These two words are both translated with the English word "repent." So it means a sorrow for sin and the idea is sorrow for sin not just in the earthly or human consequences, but a sorrow for sin before God; a sense of the odiousness of our sin to God and a desire to turn from sin to God for cleansing.
