Something was different in this message. Pastor Robert Rohlin shared his own struggle with a critical spirit. After the message, nearly 20 people came asking why he had singled them out in the message. Pastor Rohlin said only the Holy Spirit of God can take one bullet and hit so many targets. Why do Christians shoot their fallen comrades? Why are we so quick to believe evil of others? Why are we so quick to particpate in gossip and slander and yet so slow to look for ways to comfort and exhort and encourage? Pastor Rohlin examines the command, "Judge not that ye be not judged" and contrasts that with Christ's command to "judge righteous judgement." We are not judge in the judical sense -- to condemn and punish. We are to judge in the sense of discerning the cause of an illness -- like a doctor -- to see the spiritual needs of those around us. Then we are to offer them the solutions that Christ has given us. This sermon could well be a turning point in our church. May it be a turning point in your life as well.
