In the Garden

Three aspects stand out, among others, in the Garden of Gethsemane. One is the perplexity of the anguish of Jesus Christ over his upcoming ordeal as opposed to the calmness many had faced before him over their impending premature deaths. Another is the pattern He shows us to follow in obedience to the Father even when it is not what we would like to choose. Still another is the picture contrasting the Garden of Gethsemane with the Garden of Eden.
