Sacred Space in Promise: The Exodus

This sermon examines the background and significance of God's deliverance of Israel from Egyptian bondage. It first considers the historical role of the Exodus in Israel's obtainment of God's promises in the Abrahamic Covenant. That historical function is then examined from the standpoint of its larger biblical significance, namely its contribution to God's revelation of His redemptive and restorative purpose in Jesus Christ.
