A Change of Priesthood

Believers, we learn, were again turning their attention to the Law of Moses and the priesthood of Aaron. A priesthood that the writer of Hebrews contends was inferior to that of the Lord Jesus Christ. People's focus was returning to the Mosaic Law with it's duties and ceremonies. The writer introduces us to Melchisedec, who was he, what was his significance?
