Gospel Promises of Beatitudes

A familiar section from Jesus' Sermon on the Mount is examined with a gospel emphasis. The promises of blessing are shown to be dispensed at stages in God's dealings with his elect. From mourning over sin, through hunger for righteousness, to deliverance, the Beatitudes are presented as a picture of a journey from darkness to light, with marvellous blessings at every stage.
